Southern California’s female-fronted hard rockers IN THIS MOMENT have just launched their latest single, “Whore”, to radio.

While “Whore” has been getting traction at radio stations across the U.S., it was more important for the band to create a message that conveys the true intent behind the use of the “whore” word. Singer Maria Brink created the term Women Honoring One Another Rising Eternally to give new meaning away from the derogatory connotation of the “whore” word.

“I am so proud and excited for the world to hear ‘Whore’. This is an honest and raw movement that needs to be heard!” exclaims Brink.

AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson makes a guest appearance on “The Last Ship”, a soundtrack primarily featuring Sting for a Broadway production of the same name. Johnson can be heard on the song “Sky Hooks and Tartan Paint”, which is one of eight bonus tracks on the super deluxe edition of the album.

“The Last Ship” explores the central themes of homecoming and self-discovery, drawing upon Sting’s memories of growing up in the shadow of the Swan Hunters Shipyard in Wallsend. His personal reminiscences illuminate universal truths — the complexity of relationships, the passage of time and the importance of family and community — to form an affecting, complex parable for our modern times.

During a brand new interview with Artisan News, Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society, Ozzy Osbourne) was asked about the possibility of a hypothetical Pantera reunion with him filling in for the late “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott on guitar. “It’d be up to former Pantera members Vinnie Paul Abbott, drums, Phil Anselmo, vocals and Rex Brown, bass — they’re the guys that make everything happen,” he said. “So if they were all gonna do it and honor Dimebag and if they said to me, ‘Zakk, would you wanna honor Dime and do Dime’s parts?’ Of course, I was a pallbearer for him — I laid him to rest — so, of course, I’d say, it would be a beautiful way to honor him and stuff like that. Metallica performed its classic song “Enter Sandman” earlier yesterday (Sunday, September 22) at Yankee Stadium in New York to honor retiring Yankees pitcher Mariano Rivera prior to their game against the San Francisco Giants — who happen to be Metallica’s hometown team.

Rivera, who’s calling it quits after nearly two decades with the Yanks, has been coming out of the bullpen to close out games for many years to the tune of Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” playing on the stadium’s P.A. system.

Metallica frontman James Hetfield gave a shout-out to Rivera, “This one’s for you Mariano,” before singing the song’s famous first line, “Say your prayers little one…”
