Motorhead: Heartbreaker single leaks online

“Heartbreaker”, the lead single from Motorhead’s forthcoming album, “Aftershock”, has leaked online in advance of its official release.

Due October 22 in North America, “Aftershock” is the band’s 21st studio album was recorded at RG Studios in North Hollywood with longtime producer Cameron Webb.

The release follows a bumpy summer for Motorhead, who canceled a series of shows on their summer European festival tour following doctor’s orders after Lemmy suffered a haematoma (where blood collects outside of a blood vessel) and needed to address the issue; the bassist had previously been fitted with a defibrillator because of heart problems.

Congratulations are in order for Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix and his wife, Kelly, who are the proud new parents of baby boy, Brixton Gabriel Shaddix. Kelly underwent a Caesarean section procedure at a Californian hospital on Tuesday, September 17 and Brixton was born at 9:45 a.m. local time. He weighed in at 7 pounds and 3 ounces and measured 19 inches long. This is the third son for Jacoby and Kelly, who are also the parents of Makaile Ceilo Shaddix, born March 24, 2002 and Jagger Monroe Shaddix, born September 13, 2004.

During the making of Papa Roach’s latest album, “The Connection”, Shaddix split and reconciled with his wife of 16 years and also fell off the wagon.

In a new interview with the BBC World News series, Roger Waters says he regrets taking legal action against his former Pink Floyd bandmates.

Pearl Jam have released a video for “Sirens”, the second single issued from their forthcoming album, “Lightning Bolt.”

Directed by noted photographer and film director Danny Clinch, the clip follows the lead track, “Mind Your Manners.”

Due October 15, “Lightning Bolt” was produced by Brendan O’Brien; the project marks the Seattle band’s first studio album since 2009’s “Backspacer.”

There is a two-minute video report from NBC 7 San Diego on yesterday’s (Monday, September 16) court hearing to determine whether As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis would stand trial on charges he tried to hire someone to kill his estranged wife.

Lambesis will be arraigned on the charges October 22, which is when a date for his trial will be set.

According to NBC 7 San Diego, investigators found a lock box in Lambesis’ Carlsbad, California home containing “a lot of different quantities” of male enhancement-type drugs, male libido-type drugs and estrogen blocking drugs — approximately 30 to 40 vials along with different types of pill packages. Deep Purple have issued a preview of their forthcoming 1984 live DVD, “Perfect Strangers Live”, which is due October 14 (October 15 in North America).

The project captures the 1984 long-awaited reunion of the classic Deep Purple Mark II lineup of Ritchie Blackmore, Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Jon Lord and Ian Paice. It was the first time they had been together since 1973.

The lineup recorded a brand new studio album, “Perfect Strangers”, and headed out on tour. The band’s show in Melbourne, Australia was professionally filmed and is the only full-length concert recording of Deep Purple at this time.

The “Perfect Strangers Live” DVD mixes then-new tracks from the “Perfect Strangers” album with favorites from the early 70s.
