MÖTLEY CRÜE has landed at position No. 5 on Billboard.com’s “Hot Tours” list of top-grossing tours. The band sold 32,083 tickets (out of a total capacity of 36,570) for its 12 Las Vegas concerts — which were held at the Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel during an 18-day span from September 18 through October 6 — with revenue topping $3.1 million.

The fall shows, dubbed “Evening In Hell”, were an all-new production, designed exclusively for The Joint in partnership with AEG Live.

“There is no show like this. There never has been, and there never will be,” MÖTLEY CRÜE lead singer Vince Neil told Robin Leach of the Las Vegas Sun. “You’ve seen video fire from other rock acts on tour, but never the real thing.”

Vince continued: “It’s mo...

MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee has revealed that guitarist Mick Mars’s poor health is partly to blame for the band’s decision to retire from touring.

Lee videotaped a “Coffe Run” ride with the Canadian progressive-house music producer and performer Deadmau5 and answered a variety of questions, including why he gave away his very first gold record (he was “really fucked up”) to why the two of them were banned from Coachella festival.

Speaking about MÖTLEY CRÜE’s touring plans, Tommy said: “The farewell tour is next. This will be it. Our guitar player, Mick, he has a spinal disease that’s slowly fusing his vertebrae together...

Californian rockers BUCKCHERRY have parted ways with its longtime bassist Jimmy Ashurst.

Says the band in a statement: “With heavy hearts and with great difficulty, we have decided to part ways with our long time bandmate Jimmy Ashhurst. This was not an easy decision, nor was it a rash decision made in haste.’

“It’s not our desire to air dirty laundry or inner band circumstances that brought about this result. Every band has its issues, and while we have gone to great lengths to minimize them and work through them, this band has had its own issues like any other.

We in no way wish to put Jimmy in an unfavorable light...
