Metallica 3D

Metallica have announced a series of Australian screenings for their forthcoming 3D film, “Through The Never”.

The movie hits Australian theaters on October 10 for one week; advance tickets are now on sale.

The film tells the story of a band crew member (played by Dane DeHaan) who is sent out on a mission during Metallica’s live set in front of a sold-out arena; while on this mission, he unexpectedly has his life turned completely upside down.

“Through the Never” will debut in IMAX theatres across North America for a one-week engagement starting Friday, September 27; the film will then expand into additional theatres on October 4.

Metallica will release a companion soundtrack package to the film.

Due September 24, the 2-CD set, “Metallica Through The Never (Music From The Motion Picture)” will highlight performances from last year’s shows at Rexall Place in Edmonton and Rogers Arena in Vancouver, where the band filmed all performance footage featured in the film.
